Carbon footprint labelling should help to educate consumers

Members of the 20+ strong multi-page label printing network of licensees recently gathered in Cambridge, UK for the 17th International conference. The Old Hall, Queens’ College provided the prestigious venue for their gala dinner and prestigious Fix-a-Form awards ceremony.

The 2011 Fix-a-Form awards ceremony celebrated the best in class of all Fix-a-Form leaflet labels produced within a two-year period.

An independent judging panel assess the entries based on the criteria outlined for the four different award categories:

  1. Best Innovative Leaflet Label:
    Judges were looking for leaflet labels that illustrated new and innovative ideas created to satisfy a demand in the market.
  2. Best Informational Leaflet Label:
    Leaflet labels that perform their function in offering information that is easy to follow, easy to navigate perhaps even presenting an advantage to the end-user or a cost saving to the manufacturer.
  3. Best Promotional Leaflet Label:
    Judges were looking for innovative ways of attracting the product’s target audience whilst enhancing the brand and increasing sales.
  4. Best Fix-a-Form Marketing Campaign:
    Judges were looking for the best in class in promoting the Fix-a-Form brand within a licensee’s local market or markets.
  5. The Overall Winner:
    A leaflet label or promotional campaign that shows a high level of thought and innovation that matches its brand or host product.

The winners announced:

Arca Etichette SpA, Italy took the winning trophy for best innovative leaflet label with their Selecto wine label. Pago, Germany received first prize recognition with their BIOFA product range in the best informational leaflet label category.

Pemara, Malaysia’s Molecule series of natural mineral water magazine on a bottle style product was judged best-on-class the promotional leaflet label award. For the second time in a row, Pyrotec, South Africa’s Pyro Inspirations awards gained top recognition as best Fix-a-Form marketing campaign.

The overall winning trophy was awarded to Pago, Germany for their high-volume range of innovative leaflet labels produced for the REWE Feine Welt range of luxury food products. Managing Director Andrew Denny praised all licensees for their innovation and creativeness.
