Warning instructions in 14 languages on such a small product was not the only challenge for this tool manufacturer. Their commitment to minimal packaging, for environmental and economic reasons, meant that additional primary packaging could not be added. 

A spokesperson for Stanley commented: "To make this product safe for use across Europe, we needed to be able to fix warning instructions to it. As a company we have made the commitment to move towards minimal packaging – for environmental and economic reasons –  and the Fix-a-Form® leaflet label allowed us to print all the necessary information within the size constraint that we had set ourselves. There really was no other way of doing it and the bonus is that we are very pleased with the outcome."
